The Crave-able Meals I Have Made So Far in My Veggie Year

This year I decided my New Year's resolution would be to be a vegetarian for a year.  I started trying meatless Mondays last year to eat a little less meat and to learn some new recipes that could help me vary our diet a little. It seemed, though, my good intentions were often swallowed  up by busy schedules and a rush to get things done before bed time. I decided if I was really going to make a change from my usual I was going to have to make a bigger commitment.  I decided to try being vegetarian (not eating dead animals or things that come from them) for a year with two built in exceptions of restaurant re-fried beans and sushi.

So far it has been great! We have used our old standbys like veggie fried rice, breakfast burritos with beans and Mexican haystacks. I have also been able to try a bunch of new recipes. To be honest when I am cooking at home I don't really even miss the meat.

These are my top 3 meals so far

1. Lazy Sushi Bowls fromVeggie Wedgie
2. Marrakesh Stew from Martha Stewart's website
3. Cheesy, Scallion Quinoa Burgers with  Black Bean Soup from Eating well living thin(er) and Food Wishes
I had to veggify the black bean soup I use olive oil in place of bacon and I used vegetable broth instead of  chicken.

I also made this Quinoa and Cheese recipe for lunch and my 13 month old liked it so much she let me feed it to her! It was amazing.

How to print Instagram pictures at Wal*Mart

So It turns out that printing Instagram pictures is ridiculously easy.  I need some of my pics printed for a Father's day present for my hubby but didn't want to order a ton of pictures from an online site or wait 2 wks for my pictures to come. So I decided to just try Wal*Mart and it turns out it was super easy and inexpensive.

Here is how to do it.

First you need to go to wal*mart you do have to go to the actual store. You can actually log on to facebook in the wal*mart photo center and select any of your facebook pictures to print. I logged on and picked my instigam album  and the photo's I wanted to print.

After you select your pictures wal*mart's photo kiosks take you through a bunch of option tabs to edit your pictures. The first tab is crop. When you are on this tab look below your photo on the left hand side of the screen there is an option that says "Don't crop" select this and your photos will be perfectly square.

Print your pictures 4x6 size and you will end up with an inch of white photo paper above and below your photo. Just trim them off and you are set.
